About HealthyGaming

HealthyGaming is an initiative established to solve Gaming Disorder (ICD-11, WHO) as a global health challenge with the aim to reduce its global prevalence to below 0.5% by 2030. We aim to ensure that each individual can successfully get the most out of gaming and fully utilize its advantages without causing any negative effects on the lives of gamers and to achieve this, we intertwine evidence-based psychology with in-depth research, cutting-edge technology and subject matter expertise applied across healthcare, education and gaming to successfully achieve our mission.

How it all started

”When I was 16, I lost my mother to leukemia and turned to gaming as an escape from reality. Alongside this, I fell into problematic gaming and at the time, neither my father, public healthcare or school had the adequate tools or knowledge to help me at the time.”

Christoffer Johansson, Founder & CEO, HealthyGaming

Today, millions of parents, schools and families face similar challenges as Christoffer’s father did back then, unable to help their children who have fallen into Gaming Disorder or problematic gaming due to various reasons, including but not limited to personal trauma, unforeseen events or other mental health challenges.

We are here to change that.
